It is a “new look” Monza circuit which will host the Formula 1 this weekend, for the 2024 Italian Grand Prix (August 30 – September 1). The Temple of Speed, present on the F1 calendar since the first year of the world championship in 1950, has had a makeover to bring it up to date.

Among the biggest notable changes, we immediately notice the new asphalt, much darker than the previous one. Some curbs have been modified, in particular those of the Ascari chicane which have become... completely flat, which promises much higher passage and exit speeds.

The first chicane has also been widened to allow two-abreast passage. In addition to the track, several tunnels have been created to allow spectators to cross and some stands have been modernized. The management of the famous Italian circuit invested nearly 21 million euros to renovate its enclosure.
