For the second year in a row, the Erebus Motorsport driver will start from pole position in the biggest race in the Southern Hemisphere. Kostecki set an impeccable time. He beat Cameron Waters (Ford Mustang- Pickford Racing) by 0.131. Since the beginning of the week, the fight has been very tight among the championship favourites.

Behind Waters, we find Brock Feeney (Chevrolet Camaro- Triple Eight Engineering) who will start ahead of his teammate and championship leader Will Brown only 5th in qualifying. The two men from the Brisbane team are nevertheless ahead of Chaz Mostert (Ford Mustang- Walkinshaw Andretti United) who will have to make a good comeback, from 9th place, if he wants to stay in the race for the 2024 title. The Bathurst 1000 Kilometers will start tomorrow morning at 3am (Paris time).
