Sun, autumn light and a magnificent setting. For the last confrontation of the Lamera Cup 2024, the competitors were treated to the prestigious Mugello circuit, nestled between the curves of the Tuscan hills. And in this region that cultivates the joy of living (and bottles it), the weather did not play any nasty tricks on the competitors of the single-make cup.
This time, it was the 26 that won. In this crew that looks very similar to that of the 62 that has scoured most of the competitions this year, we once again demonstrated a nice supremacy throughout the day. It is true that the crew of the 1 (L'Auto Leclerc) had every interest in securing its 2nd place to win the title. Especially since the 80 (Continental Racing), plagued by minor problems, was unable to claim a place on the podium. Same story for the 41 (Scania France) which finished in 8th place after replacing the alternator pulley and must be content with the title of vice-champion among the Elite.
In the Pro-Am category, the crew of the 70 (CTF 2Be3) tried to score as many points as possible, as evidenced by the 7th place in the general classification. But despite this fine and final triumph, the title went to the 35. In the Gentlemen category, it was the 47 (Novarc by GL Autosport) that took first place, while the 29 (CTF Make), victim of several incidents this Sunday, finished in the depths of the classification. Fortunately, it was able to count on the very good season it had and its victory on Saturday in the four-hour race, to savor this well-deserved title.
Race 2 (7 hours) race ranking: 1. (26 Com & Protect) 171 laps; 2. (1 L'Auto Leclerc) at 1 lap; 3. (421 HephaPistos by Hedonic) at 2 laps; 4. (80 CTF Continental Racing) at 3 laps; 5. (75 GL Elite) at 3 laps; 7th and 1st in pro-Am (70 CTF 2be3) at 4 laps; 11th and 1st in Gentlemen (47 Novarc by GL Auto-sport) at 7 laps.
