Aurélien Comte (Cupra Leon- SG Competition) had the advantage of pole position, but the Frenchman was overtaken in the first corners by a very competitive Girolami, who was also determined to achieve a good result this weekend. Girolami took control of the race and was never caught. Comte then had to hold off the attacks of the two Goat Racing drivers: Esteban Guerrieri and Ignacio Montenegro. The two South Americans had to wait until the 4th lap before finding an opening on Comte. The Frenchman crossed the finish line in 4th. Yann Ehrlacher (Cyan Racing-Lynk&Co 03) finished 6th. Well supported by his teammates, the Alsatian managed to limit the damage caused by the reverse grid. He left Australia with a 36-point lead over Guerrieri. It's a lead that the two-time WTCR winner can afford to manage until the end of the season, even if it's not in the boy's philosophy.

The next round of the TCR World Tour is scheduled for next month from October 17 to 19 in South Korea at the Inje Speedium track.

"The boy" doesn't take anything for granted, knowing that there are still 285 points to be taken. But yes, as you say so well, "he knows how to manage."
