Curtain call. As he is about to reach 400 starts in Supercars, Tim Slade is living his last moments in the Australian championship. Indeed, the PremiAir driver has made official the end of his career at the end of the current season, full-time.
« 2024 is my 15th season and it will be my last year full time, did he write on his social networks. I am proud to have spent so much time racing at the highest level in Australia, in one of the most competitive series in the world. »
Arriving in 2009, Tim Slade was never a real contender for the title but was capable of some brilliant moments like his two victories at Winton in 2016, his 15 additional podiums and his two pole positions.
Officially, the Australian is not hanging up his suit for good as he is retiring from full-time Supercars competition. This means that he could do some odd jobs, particularly on endurance rounds like Sundown or the Bathurst 1000.
