Supercars is preparing to welcome a new manufacturer. By 2026, Toyota will be an integral part of the grid for the flagship local championship. The Australian arm of the Japanese manufacturer has confirmed its commitment to just over a year with the Gen3 Supra, a 40%-scale clay sculpture of which has been unveiled, while it will also be on display at a 1:1 scale to the general public at the Bathurst 1000 (11-14 October).

For track operations, Toyota has partnered with Walkinshaw Andretti United, currently partnered with Ford and its Mustang S650. A second team will be announced soon.
