It's a big return for the seventh round of the TCR World Tour. On the Zhuzhou International Circuit, Will Brown, freshly crowned Supercars champion, will be back with HMO Customer Racing. He will replace Josh Buchan for this penultimate round of the season, as Buchan will be making his debut in the GT World Challenge Australia with a Ferrari 296 GT3.

“Firstly, I want to congratulate Josh and the whole team on their performance in South Korea – it was an incredible achievement, and another demonstration of the talent that exists in Australia,” greets Will Brown. “I am delighted to be joining HMO Customer Racing again for the TCR World Tour round in China and hopefully continue this great momentum. This will be my first time driving the Hyundai i30 Sedan N TCR, but I'm confident the team will prepare a real rocket for me, and I hope I can bring them another trophy."

A fifteen-time winner and five-time pole-sitter in TCR, Will Brown also achieved thirty podium finishes during his five seasons in the category, between 2019 and 2023. He will team up with the young Ryan MacMillan, aged just 18.

“The team has done a fantastic job developing a new set-up direction at Inje, which has completely transformed the car. I know we now have the speed, on my side of the garage too, to fight at the front, like Josh did in South Korea,” anticipates the Australian. “My weekend there was complicated from the start, as I had to start outside the top 10 after a red flag ruined my fastest qualifying lap. But I learned a lot during the races, having some great battles against some of the best touring car drivers in the world, and I’m looking to take my skills to the next level in China. It’s also exciting to be sharing the garage with Will this weekend: he comes with an impressive record, and it’s another opportunity for me to test myself against a TCR Australia champion.”

The seventh round of the TCR World Tour season will take place from Saturday 1st to Sunday 2nd November.
