Dorian Boccolacci, program member Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific contested the fourth round of the GT World Challenge Asia 2025 this weekend at the Fuji circuit in Japan. Driving a Porsche 911 GT3 R for the Phantom Global Racing team, the Frenchman, partnered by Anthony Liu, had some frustrating results.

In Race 1 on Saturday, the duo, 10th on the grid, were penalized for exceeding track limits too often and for an unauthorized pit stop. The result was a last-place finish in the Pro-Am category and overall.

Boccolacci too penalized to hope for better

This Sunday, during the second race, things went a little better for Boccolacci and his teammate. The two men managed to finish a solid fourth place on the track. However, due to another 5-second penalty, the Porsche drivers ultimately dropped to seventh in their class, 11th overall.

“It was a crazy weekend. We had a good chance of scoring big points, but penalties prevented us from doing so. We will be aiming for victory before the end of the season, we clearly have the pace to achieve it and we will focus on it,” summed up the tricolor at the end of this weekend.

Next meeting for him and Anthony Liu in GT World Challenge Asia: from August 29 to 31 for the penultimate round of the season on the Okayama International Circuit, still in Japan.
