Head to Germany for the GT World Challenge Europe! The field goes to Hockenheim, on the Hockenheimring, for the 8th round of the season, the 4th counting for theEndurance Cup. After the 24 Hours of Spa at the beginning of August, the GT3s return to the track for the last part of the season.
The No. 32 Audi, driven by Kelvin van der Linde, Charles Weerts and Dries Vanthoor, was fastest in all three qualifying sessions at Hockenheim. With the three best times, the trio will logically start on pole during the race on Sunday afternoon, with an average time of 1'37″478.
Team WRT beat the Classic Ferrari for sale #71 of the Iron Lynx team (+0″138) and the #63 Lamborghini of the Emil Frey Racing team (+0″273). To find the leaders of the Endurance Cup championship (and winners of the 24 Hours of Spa), you have to go down to 14th place: the Classic Mercedes for sale #88 of Akkodis ASP was unable to compete for pole. Raffaele Marciello, Jules Gounon and Dani Juncadella will have to fight to climb the rankings and maintain the lead in the championship.
