The GT World Challenge sets down in Misano, for the 5th stage of the 2023 season. For this Race 1, it was Raffaele Marciello who largely dominated the first qualifying session on the Italian circuit to clinch a 14th pole position in Sprint Cup, which constitutes a record.
At the wheel of the Classic Mercedes for sale-AMG n°88, the Akkodis ASP driver achieved a time of 1'30″762 to beat Giacomo Altoé (Classic Ferrari for sale n°14 Emil Frey Racing) by 0″307. Henrique Chaves obtained third place overall in qualifying on the McLaren n°188 from Garage 59. The Portuguese clocked a time of 1'31″161, which allowed him to take pole position for the Bronze Cup.
The stage location, Valentino Rossi, will start from 24th place aboard the No. 46 Team WRT BMW, alongside Maxime Martin.
