  • Clearly, his arrival at Matt Stone Racing did him a lot of good. Deprived of victory for almost 4 years, Nick Percat won his second race of the season after that in Melbourne last March.
  • During this first round in Tasmania, the Adelaide native did well in the pit lane. His team's very good stops allowed him to emerge ahead of pole sitter Broc Feeney (Triple Eight) and Cam Waters (Tickford Racing). In the final sprint, Nick Percat battled against his former teammate Chaz Mostert (Walkinshaw Andretti United). A very close duel from which he emerged victorious by a little more than half a second.
  • Second on the line, Chaz Mostert is the other winner of the day. By taking advantage of the 7e place of the championship leader Will Brown (Triple Eight), the one who won the two races of the last round contested in Sydney came back to 63 lengths after taking back 42 points. Broc Feeney completed the podium in Tasmania, almost two seconds behind the leading duo.
