In 2025, the Bathurst 12 Hours will take place a little earlier than in 2024. The organizers of the Australian round, which marks the start of the Intercontinental GT Challenge season, have announced the date of the next edition , which will take place on February 2, 2025. The event therefore returns to its traditional date, namely the first weekend in February. In 2024, the Bathurst 12H took place later, in mid-February.

Bringing the date forward to early February avoids a date conflict with the Asian Le Mans Series, which organizes events in Dubai and Abu Dhabi on the second and third weekends of February, but also with the 24 Hours of Daytona (January 25-26, 2025) which will take place one week before the Bathurst 12H.

“It’s great to have the dates set for 2025 and to know that the whole world will return to Mount Panorama on the weekend of January 31 and February 2 next year, said Shane Rudzis, event director. We need to be flexible and dynamic in scheduling the race to ensure it fits into the international calendar every year, which is why the date has been brought forward by two weeks to 2025. The level of Interest and excitement for the race is already high and we have had fantastic discussions with current participants as well as new teams and brands who are interested in participating in the race next February. »

“We are very proud of the growth of the Bathurst 12 Hours, he adds. Over the past two years we've seen huge crowds, camping records broken, incredible demonstrations of world-class vehicles on the track setting scintillating lap times, legends of global motorsport returning every year, Amazing car activations and shows, and much more. »
