Thomas Toffel, the usual agitator of the pelotons in NASCAR Euro Series, suggested the idea to the four-time world rally champion at the end of the 2024 season, and Muller has committed to this new challenge: "M Racing's commitment to the NASCAR Euro Series embodies our passion for competition, our determination and our desire to embrace a new experience. Each new championship is an opportunity to demonstrate our expertise," he explained.
“NASCAR is very different from what we typically do, particularly in terms of racing style and strategy. However, we plan to use our racing experience and motorsport expertise to approach this new series with the same determination and adaptability that has allowed us to succeed in other disciplines. This underscores the differences, but also the confidence in our experience and our ability to take on new challenges.”
It is not yet known how many cars will be entered by M Racing, but this arrival in the NASCAR Euro Series marks a return to the roots for the Alsatian driver, crowned many times in touring cars around the world. The championship also seems to be gaining in attractiveness, with in particular a greater affiliation with the three national NASCAR series in the United States, via the "Road to America" program.
