The 24 Hours of Spa promise to be a great celebration, from June 26 to 30. The legendary Ardennes event is celebrating its hundredth anniversary this year, and the teams will not fail to celebrate this mark. A few days before the first tests, it is Team WRT's turn to unveil two special liveries for two of its three BMW M4 GT3s entered at Spa.

At home, the Belgian team will dress the BMWs n°32 (Dries Vanthoor – Sheldon van der Linde – Charles Weerts) and n°46 (Valentino Rossi – Raffaele Marciello – Maxime Martin) in colors paying tribute to the emblematic BMWs engaged in the 1980s and 1990s. A time when Thierry Tassin and Pierre Dieudonné, sporting directors of Team WRT, drove for the propeller brand. The BMW n°30 (Ahmad Al Harthy – Sam De Haan – Jens Klingmann – Calan Williams) will retain its classic orange livery.

“I grew up a few kilometers from the circuit and I used to go to Spa-Francorchamps to watch the races since my childhood. This is where my passion for motorsport was born, confides Vincent Vosse, principal director of Team WRT. The 24 hours have always been a special race, with the largest number of spectators. Being able to participate was therefore a dream that came true in 1995, and winning it was the crowning achievement of an ambition. However, I only won it on my eighth attempt, in 2002, in a Viper, and in the previous seven appearances, I only finished the race once. This shows how difficult it can be to succeed in such a race.

“Subsequently, I was on the podium three times and took a pole position, narrowly missing out on a second victory in 2004, when we led in a Ferrari, but we were slowed down by a technical problem. My last race was in 2010, when I stopped racing to focus entirely on the Team WRT project. Winning again in 2011 and 2014, as a team, after gaining the trust of a major automotive brand, was magical. Since then, we have always fought at the forefront. We want to win again! »
