Thed Björk on pole for Race 1 in Macau

The Swede from Lynk & Co set the best time in the qualifying session. This is very good news for the Cyan racing driver in his fight for the world title against Norbert Michelisz, only P4 in the session.

Thanks to the points he has just scored during the qualification, Björk is now 10 points behind the Hungarian. Hyundai Motorsport and championship leader. The fight for the title promises to be superb in this first race since of the five drivers fighting for the title, 4 of them qualify in the top 5. Only Esteban, Guerrieri, at the wheel of his Honda Civic Type is outside the top 5. The starting grid is composed as follows, Björk is on pole with Mikel Azcona (Hyundai) at his side. On the second row, Yann Ehrlacher (Lynk & Co) and Norbert Michelisz (Hyundai) will start in 3rd and 4th place ahead of Nestor Girolami (Hyundai). The battle on the Guia track will be intense from the first meters of the race.

Race one is scheduled for this Saturday morning starting at 5:20 a.m. Saturday morning.
