Toby Sowery set his time in the first 10 minutes, after which the rain intensified and it became impossible to improve. The British driver set a 2:09.613 lap, ahead of theAston Martin #188 Garage 59 by Adam Smalley by 0.301 seconds.
The Bronze Cup cars took first and second positions, while a Silver crew finished third overall. Yannick Mettler failed two tenths behind Smalley on the Mercedes-AMG GetSpeed #3, crowning a great performance from the category winner at the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps this year.
Franck Perera finished fourth overall in the #163 Grasser Racing Lamborghini, continuing his crew's good form in free practice. Henrique Chaves took fifth place at the wheel of the #34 Walkenhorst Motorsport Aston Martin, followed by the #99 Tresor Attempto Racing Audi and the Porsche n°97 of Rutronik Racing. The nine fastest cars all set their best times on their first flying lap.
Qualifications for the roundEndurance GT World Challenge Cup at the Nürburgring will take place on Sunday morning at 8:45 a.m. The start of the race will be at 15:00 p.m.
