Ugo de Wilde has officially joined the BMW factory driver ranks and will compete in the BMW M4 GT3 EVO. While his programme has not yet been fully finalised, the 22-year-old Belgian is expected to compete in GT World Challenge Europe races.

« I am extremely happy and proud to be part of the BMW M Factory Team., rejoices Ugo de Wilde. A childhood dream is coming true for me. I have worked hard since I was young to become a professional racing driver. I am very grateful to a great brand like BMW M Motorsport for giving me this opportunity. I also thank everyone who has supported me to reach this stage of my career. I hope this is just the beginning. I will do my best to justify the trust placed in me. We have already had a very good test with the BMW M4 GT3 EVO. I immediately felt very comfortable with the handling of the car and I was very well received. »

« I am delighted that we have been able to recruit a promising young talent like Ugo de Wilde for our factory rider team., adds Andreas Roos, Director BMW M Motorsport. His performances in his debut season in the highly competitive GT World Challenge Europe have been impressive. We are confident that he will be a valuable addition to our team for the 2025 season. With this commitment, we are expanding the already large pool of ‘young talent’ in our factory driver line-up. We have a superb mix of youth and experience, making our team both high calibre and future-proof. »

In 2024, Ugo de Wilde notably distinguished himself by finishing on the podium of the Gold Cup for his debut at the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.
