Canary Islands Rally – SS12: Ogier loses only a tenth of a second at Solberg

Elfyn Evans set a third fastest time on Saturday, taking SS12 six tenths ahead of Oliver Solberg, and seven ahead of Sébastien Ogier.

Canary Islands Rally – SS12: Ogier loses only a tenth of a second at Solberg

As this morning, the second pass through the Maspalomas special stage did little to widen the gaps between the three drivers currently on the podium in the overall standings. Sébastien Ogier thus retains control of the rally, losing only a tenth to Oliver Solberg, his runner-up, and seven to Elfyn Evans, who scored his third fastest time in four special stages on Saturday.

Fourth-placed Sami Pajari gained three tenths of a second on Takamoto Katsuta, with the gaps between the top five remaining very close. Toyota on the special stage. The three Hyundai followed in the standings, then the two Fords M-Sportconfirming the division of the field between the three manufacturers involved.

In WRC2, Yohan Rossel continues to lead the way, but the Lancia driver has lost 4,3 seconds to Alejandro Cachón, who is now 24,5 seconds behind in the overall standings of the category.
