Kalle Rovanperä can stop the WRC At the end of the season, the Finn still loves what he does: it was with a big smile that the double world champion completed the Böhmerwald 2 special stage. After setting the best time on the first run (SS4), Rovanperä repeated the feat by winning SS7. He was ahead of Adrien fourmaux for half a second while Takamoto Katsuta completed the podium (+1.2s).
Sébastien Ogier, leader at the start of the special, had a close call: by completing the 15-kilometer effort 2.1s behind Kalle Rovanperä, the Gapençais rider saved his first place in the general classification by 0.3s against his teammate! In the general classification, the only change was for 3rd place, held by Ott Tânak at the start. The Estonian, 2019 world champion, finally ceded it to Elfyn Evans, who has a one-second lead.
Note that Adrien Fourmaux set the second fastest time in the special and gained some air space on Sami Pajari in their duel for 6th place overall.
