Last year, Eric Camilli (i20 N Rally2-2C Compétition) failed to finish the Faron stage. This year, the driver from Nice set a blistering time, giving him an 8-second lead over Yoann Bonato (C3 Rally2-Trajectus Motorsport). Camilli is currently second fastest, behind Mathieu Franceschi (Fabia RS Rally2-AMD Motorsport).
With his fourth fastest time behind Hugo Margaillan (i20 N Rally2-CHL Sport Auto), Réhane Gany (C3 Rally2-CHL Sport Auto) moves up in the provisional standings and takes fourth place, less than four seconds behind Sébastien Loeb (A110 GT-P-GL Automobiles Service Compétition).
Fifth in this stage, Yoann Bonato (C3 Rally2-Trajectus Motorsport) admitted he hadn't "dared" on this narrow road. "Eric is going to win, we won't be able to catch up fairly," observed the Citroën driver.
Having set the 8th fastest time, Sébastien Loeb quickly realized he wouldn't perform well on this stage: "It's too slippery, you never get traction. You never get out of the corners. I had a feeling my time wouldn't be great on this stage." The driver of theAlpine nevertheless remains on the provisional podium of rally before the last four stages.
