If we thought the fog would complicate things for the riders, it lifted to reveal the beauty of the Sleeping Warrior special stage. Its beauty, and especially its mud, in its first half! Some extremely difficult sections saw riders almost get stuck, thus creating the first gaps. However, it was the second part of the special, very rough, that caused even more damage to the riders.
Among them, Thierry Neuville, who had to stop to change his front left tire, which had a flat tire. Takamoto Katsuta and Grégoire Munster each ended up with a loose wheel, while Josh McErlean repaired a damaged steering arm after an encounter with one of the many stones present. Toyota, so far so good, with the best time going to Elfyn Evans ahead of his teammates Kalle Rovanperä and Takamoto Katsuta. Ott Tänak signed the fourth time, conceding 40 seconds to the leader of the rallyNeuville lost two minutes and fourth place in the rally, now eleven seconds behind Katsuta. The drivers continue with the twelfth special, the first pass through Elmenteita and its 17,31 km.
