Last to start on SS10 of the Rally from Central Europe, Sébastien Ogier will not finish the race. Although he was ahead of Kalle Rovanperä's time, the Frenchman lost control of his Toyota The Yaris crashed on wet and muddy terrain, eventually crashing into a tree. Fortunately, Sébastien Ogier and his co-driver Vincent Landais are okay.

Ogier, despite arriving as leader of the WRC ahead of the Central Europe Rally, is out of contention for victory. The Frenchman will lose valuable points to Rovanperä as he aimed for a ninth title. Ogier and Landais will, however, be able to return to fight for points on Sunday during Super Sunday and the Power Stage.
