Winner of Rally from Sweden last year, Elfyn Evans (ToyotaHe seems well on his way to repeating the feat in 2026, after setting another fastest time on the second run of the Sarsjöliden stage. The Welshman will approach the final two stages of the day with a lead of more than 17 seconds over Takamoto Katsuta in the overall standings.
The Japanese driver somewhat stemmed the bleeding against his teammate Sami Pajari, who was increasingly threatening his second place overall. Leading after Friday's stages, the Toyota driver struggled with his setup on Saturday, and he "finally," in his own words, found a solution that allowed him to set the second-fastest time on the stage.
With the fastest time on the first pass this morning, Mārtiņš Sesks had a more complicated stage, finishing tenth, partly due to damage to the front left sustained in SS12. The next stage starts at 16:59 PM and will be run entirely at night, as the last rays of sunlight have now set.
