Le Rally du Var experiences a turning point in Pignans (SS5) following the exit of the track by Romain Dumas (Porsche 997 GT3 RS) then second who lost many minutes. Julien Maurin (Fiesta WRC) now has a lead of almost two minutes over Pierre Roché's Mini Countryman. Jérémi Ancian now completes the provisional podium on his Peugeot 207 S2000 with 15 seconds ahead of Michel Boetti who keeps the lead in the Michelin Trophy. Cédric Robert took first place in the Citroën Racing Trophy with almost half a minute ahead of Frédéric Comte. Yoann Bonato now only has a seven-second lead over Guillaume Sirot in the Opel Adam Cup. Manu Guigou remains solid leader of the Twingo R2 Trophy.
