- The night did not calm Kalle Rovanperä's ardor. The Finn, leader of Rally from Finland at the start of this second day of racing, kept the pace during SS11 by setting the best time, his fifth scratch this weekend. With a time of 8'20"3, the double world champion widened the gap at the head of the rally, now 10"2 ahead of Elfyn Evans.
- If the Welshman lost time on his teammate for first place, he nevertheless gained time on his other teammate, Sébastien Ogier, in the fight for 2nd place. The Frenchman conceded 2″9 on this 11th special and is now relegated to 3″5 behind Elfyn Evans.
- This first special of the day ended short for Grégoire Munster. From the start of the special, the Belgian lost the rear of his mount in a rapid left turn, before hitting the embankment and the trees outside. His Ford Puma was destroyed in the accident, forcing him to retire.
- Sami Pajari was trapped by this accident, since he set off before a red flag was waved to clear Grégoire Munster's Ford Puma. The Finn, disappointed at not having been able to drive at full speed on this special, will be credited with a fixed time on this SS11.
