- For the first time today, it is not Kalle Rovanperä who leads the special standings, but Esapekka Lappi. The day after his retirement, the Finn made up for it this Saturday with a scratch time thanks to his good starting position, on terrain which deteriorated over the course of Rally1. The winner of the last Rally of Sweden beat the two-time reigning world champion by five tenths.
- The leader of the Rally Finland, however, does not give up his efforts, unlike his closest rivals, Sébastien Ogier et Thierry Neuville. The two men went into management mode and respectively finished 10″8 and 7″1 behind Kalle Rovanperä on this SS15. The Finn widens the gap a little further in the lead, now with 39″4 over the eight-time world champion.
