- After Martins Sesks in Latvia, it is the turn of Sami Pajari to shine on home soil and win his first special victory in WRC ! For his first rally in the premier category, the Finn scored his first scratch during SS9 of the Rally of Finland! The 22-year-old rookie beat Sébastien Ogier and Kalle Rovanperä by just five tenths, leading a hat-trick Toyota on this penultimate special of the day! At 22 years, 8 months and one day, Sami Pajari became the 10th youngest driver to achieve a WRC stage victory!

- After losing a little time in the previous special, Kalle Rovanperä once again widened the gap against Elfyn Evans: the Finn now has an 8″ lead over the Welshman overall, while Sébastien Ogier is getting closer to the 3nd place. The Frenchman is only 2″1 behind Elfyn Evans.
- In the rest of the Rally1 table, no change. Thanks to his scratch time, Sami Pajari breaks away from Grégoire Munster for 6th place and now has around twenty seconds ahead of the Belgian before the last special of the day.
