Half a second separated Ogier byOtt Tänak (Hyundai), second. The Estonian nearly rolled over at the same point as Evans before him, and the time lost to recover could have been the difference between a scratch or not! The Welshman was able to reach the end of the stage after losing more than five minutes, but is not sure he will be able to line up without problems on tonight's superspecial, starting at 20:05 p.m. He also loses a place in the general classification, going from thirteenth to fourteenth, to the benefit of the Spaniard Jan Solans in the Yaris WRC2.
To Adrien fourmaux, the special went better, but the driver M-Sport Ford still suffered a slow puncture on the rear left, which slowed him down at the end of the special. He is 15″4 behind Ogier. At the front, no change in the general classification, Thierry Neuville now enjoys a lead of 52″6 over his teammate Dani Sordo, who has again lost time (nearly twenty seconds), but manages to maintain the advantage over Sébastien Ogier for second position in the general classification.
In WRC2, Yohan Rossel once again sets the best time and is still in third place overall, now 27 seconds behind Estonian Robert Virves, himself 28″2 behind Sami Pajari, who is still firmly in the lead. At the end of tonight's two-kilometre superspecial, Saturday's standings will be known, and the first points will be awarded, provided that the drivers in question cross the final finish line of the rally this Sunday.
