Rallye Monte-Carlo 2025: Where and how to follow the Shakedown live?

It is fast approaching, this fateful moment of the big departure, awaited at least as much by the fans as by the pilots. The 93rd Rally Monte-Carlo will officially start on Thursday, with the first special stage scheduled for 18 p.m. between Digne-les-Bains and Chaudon-Norante.

Before that, the crews will be able to take full advantage of the Shakedown, the traditional test session organized the day before the start, to warm up and test the reliability of their cars. This first run takes place in Gap, on a 3,28 km section that is intended to be representative of the difficulties that the drivers will face over the four days of the event: climbs, descents, hairpins... Everything, or almost, is condensed into a few hectometres in order to offer the best possible preparation to everyone.

The Shakedown is timed, but does not count towards the overall standings. It allows drivers to test themselves over several attempts, each in turn. Last year, Ott Tänak was the fastest in 2:00.5. This year, the Shakedown is broadcast live on the WRC YouTube channel, on the player below.
