Sweden – SS13: Evans continues his march forward, Fourmaux goes out

Fourmaux lost control of his Hyundai i20 Rally1 at the end of a large left-hand bend, just 900m into the special. After leaning on a snow bank, the Northerner plunged into the verge, his Hyundai spinning out and ending his race stuck in the snow. Fourmaux and his co-driver Alexandre Coria spent more than a quarter of an hour trying to dislodge their car, so far without success.

Elfyn Evans, with his fifth stage win since the start, continues to increase his lead, which now reaches 8 seconds in the general classification over Takamoto Katsuta. The fight continues to rage for third place between the Hyundais of Thierry Neuville et Ott Tänak, advantage this time to the Belgian who takes back the place on the podium, 2″8 ahead of a particularly laconic and concise Tänak in the interviews at the stop point of the specials.

The penultimate stage of the day will start at 16:08 p.m., with 16,06 kilometers planned, in the Kolksele time trial.
