The Belgian duo, back on the event that launched their quest for the world title in 2024, lost almost two minutes on the final special of the morning. The cause was a slide near a hairpin on the descent, which sent the Hyundai i20 Rally1 on a slope. Rear left wheel badly damaged, Neuville managed to reach the finish of the special, but his mechanics will have a lot to do when they go to service, before the afternoon loop.
