VIDEO – Evans' accident that practically gives Rovanperä the title

A turn, a missed braking and everything changed for Elfyn Evans. Due to an error of judgment, the Welshman finished his race in a building on the side of the road during SS11 this Saturday morning. Beyond the material damage it may have caused, this accident will have terrible consequences for the championship.

Relegated to 31 points behind Kalle Rovanperä before the start of the weekend, Elfyn Evans should not see the Finn finish ahead of him if he still wanted to believe in the title. With this accident, the story took a completely different turn. Now in full management, his Finnish teammate will be content to reach the finish even if it means losing a lot of time as he did during SS11 at the end of which he ceded control of the event to Thierry Neuville who didn't ask for so much.
