WRC - Rally Sweden - SS2: Elfyn Evans regains the overall lead

Elfyn Evans dominated this second stage ahead of Takamoto Katsuta. The Welshman thus leads a Toyota 1-2-3 finish, with Sami Pajari completing the top three.

Rally Sweden – SS2: Elfyn Evans regains the overall lead

The Rally1 drivers set off in particularly cool conditions on Friday, February 13th for the second special stage of the Rally In Sweden, temperatures were dropping to -30°C in some places.

On a very, very fast course, Elfyn Evans dominated. The Welshman thus regains the overall lead, now 5,6 seconds ahead of Oliver Solberg. The local favorite stalled and spun, conceding those precious few seconds to his teammate and rival.

Hyundai They, for their part, are slower than the trio Toyota. Thierry Neuville points to fourth position in the special stage, ahead Adrien fourmauxparticularly slow on this stage.

On the side of home M-SportMārtiņš Sesks suffered punctures to both front tires. With the Fords already experiencing tire pressure issues, the drivers had carried six tires. Jon Armstrong also suffered a puncture. Double blow for the British manufacturer. The third stage will start at 11:08 AM.
