Competitors in the 2025 Dakar will have to use a new safety device in the final stages of the event, which take place in the Empty Quarter desert. A system of flags already seen in the American Bajas, and which should limit the risks of contact between a car idling or stopped when landing on a dune, and another arriving at full speed.
