Carlin raises his ambitions on the oval circuits of theIndyCar. Max Chilton is replaced on this type of terrain by Conor Daly for the remainder of the 2019 season. The Briton is now focusing on road rounds.
Conor Daly has real abilities on ovals, as evidenced by his 10th place during the 500 Indianapolis 2019. The 27-year-old American will therefore drive the Dallara in Texas (June 8), in Iowa (July 20), in Pocono ( Pennsylvania, August 18) as well as Gateway (Illinois, August 24).

“I really enjoyed working with Carlin in 2011 when I started in Europe (in GP3 Series. Editor’s note), to drive for them again is something special,” rejoices Conor Daly, the son of the former pilot of Formula 1 Derek Daly.
Max Chilton has, if we are to believe the team's press release, chosen to withdraw from the ovals on his own. “I will help the team and Conor in the best way I can on ovals. » The Briton is ranked 23rd in the general classification after eight races in 2019.
