Andrew Haryanto and Alessio Picariello already confirmed, Absolute Racing had to find a third driver to complete its crew for the 89th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (August 21-22). It's done.

Dans la Sarthe, l’Indonésien et le Belge seront accompagnés par Marco Seefried à bord de la Porsche 911 RSR N°18 de la structure d’Ingo Matter et Fabien Fior.

“Marco is a major asset to the team since he brings a lot of racing experience,” rejoices team director Ingo Matter. We will try to finish as high as possible but the aim is to run the cleanest race possible and take advantage of the opportunities that present themselves to us. Hopefully we can go home with a good result.

This is not the first time that Marco Seefried, Andrew Haryanto and Alessio Picariello have ridden together. The three men already know each other since they participated in the 6 Hours of Spa (last May 6), scene of the first round of the world championship ofEndurance.

“I am happy and proud to participate in the 2021 season of WEC with Absolute Racing, explains Marco Seefried. At Spa, I was impressed by Andrew Haryanto's progress in managing speed and traffic.

Based on this, as well as Alessio's speed and my own experience in Endurance, I am confident that we have put together a strong team for the Grand Le Mans.”

At Le Mans, Absolute Racing will enter its No. 911 18 RSR in the GTE-AM category.
