Ford has not competed in the slightest edition of the Dakar and the American manufacturer is already changing colors. L'Oval has unveiled a new decoration for its two Ford Ranger T1+ which will participate in the 2024 Dakar (January 5-19). No sponsor appears but the design takes up the stylistic codes of the competing firm, as with the Ford Mustang GT3 currently under development:

In 2024, Ford will arrive at the Dakar with Spaniard Nani Roma as leader. Crowned with a promising third place in the Rally of Morocco in October 2023, the former winner on motorcycle (2004) and in car (2014) will above all be responsible for helping M-Sport to create a new generation prototype during the year 2024.

Nani Roma will be supported by the South African Gareth Woolridge, unknown to the battalion on the Dakar, but who distinguished himself by winning the national cross-country title in front of the specialists Toyota Giniel de Villiers and Henk Lategan.
