The Acura DPi nº60 of Meyer Shank Racing, victorious at the 24 Hours of Daytona in January, took second place in this first session, without Helio Castroneves ni simon pagenaud held by the sleeveIndyCar in Texas, but with Stoffel Vandoorne alongside Oliver Jarvis and Toç Blomqvist. The second Cadillac Racing (Earl Bamber, Alex Lynn, Neel Jani) completed the podium.

The domination of the Cadillacs increased in the second session with a hat-trick from the American manufacturer. Pipo Derani thus placed the No. 31 of Whelen Engineering Racing in first position of the afternoon in 1:45.750 ahead of the Ally Cadillac of Mike Rockenfeller. Dominant in the morning, nº01 was content with third position.

In LM P2, Tower Motorsport dominated the two sessions with Louis Delétraz and Rui Andrade, two drivers also entered in the round of WEC with, respectively, Prema and Realteam by WRT. In GTD Pro, BMW and Lamborghini each won a session.
