24 Hours of Daytona – FP4: The last session for Cadillac

Cadillac asserts itself as the big favorite for the 62nd edition of the 24 Hours of Daytona. The American manufacturer dominated the fourth and final Free Practice session of the Florida classic through Jack Aitken at the wheel of Action Express Racing's No. 31 V-Series.R.

With a time of 1:35.983, the Englishman beat Connor De Phillippi (BMW M Hybrid n°25) by 0.239 seconds and Sébastien Bourdais (Cadillac V-Series.R n°01) by 0.486 seconds.

Mikkel Jensen was the fastest in LM P2 at the wheel of the No. 07 TDS Racing Oreca 11 in which we also find Frenchman Charles Milesi. The #88 Richard Mille AF Corse of Lilou Wadoux and Matthieu Vaxiviere took second place.

The champion DTM reigning Thomas Preining set the reference time in GT in 1:47.072 at the wheel of the Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) from Andretti Motorsports.

The session was interrupted for several minutes by a red flag following the exit of Lance Willsey at the wheel of the No. 217 Sean Creech Motorsport Ligier JS P33.
