24H. of Daytona - H+13: VisitFlorida Racing and WTR in a duel

Rain disrupted the 2017 edition of the 24 Hours of Daytona. So much so that the race marshals decided at the start of the thirteenth hour to neutralize the event under Full Course Yellow.

If Wayne Taylor Racing with the No. 10 Cadillac DPi-VR of the Taylor brothers, Max Angelelli and Jeff Gordon was leading the race at mid-race, it was the Multimatic-Riley Mk. 30 Gibson of VisitFlorida Racing No. 90 of René Rast who is currently classified, after having benefited from a drive-through inflicted on the n°10 for a violation of the regulations during his previous pit stop.

The No. 5 Action Express Racing Cadillac DPi-VR of Christian Fittipaldi is in provisional third place, one lap ahead of the No. 2 Ligier DPi-Nissan of Luis Felipe Derani. The top 5 in the general classification is completed by the second Action Express Racing Cadillac, the No. 31 of Eric Curran.

The positions remain very tight in GTLM since the next four cars in the standings, namely the No. 66 Ford GT of Dirk Müller, the Ferrari 488 No. 62 of Toni Vilander and the two other Ford GTs No. 68 and 69 of Billy Johnson and Harry Tincknell remain in the same lap as the German GTs.

Performance Tech Motorsports with the No. 09 Oreca FLM38 of Nicholas Boulle remains leader in PC, while Jeffrey Schmidt (Audi R8 LMS – Land Motorsport) leads the debates in GTD.
