Acura confirms separation from Team Penske

Acura and Team Penske united in IMSA, it will soon be ancient history. The Japanese high-end car manufacturer formalized this Tuesday July 21 the end of the association with the team at the end of 2020, in accordance with what AUTOhebdo revealed to you last week.

The contract binding the two parties came to the end of the three-year partnership in 2020. “On behalf of everyone at Acura and Honda Performance Development (HPD, engine manager), we would like to thank Team Penske for their incredible efforts and the results of the ARX-05”, says HPD President Ted Klaus.

« The victories achieved together make us even more determined to achieve further success, defend our titles and conclude the partnership on a positive note. »

Since 2018, the Acura-Team Penske tandem has achieved four successes in IMSA, but especially the Drivers, Teams and Manufacturers titles in 2019.
