David Brabham: “Huge potential”

Engaged with Highcroft Racing since 2007, David Brabham won two ALMS titles in 2009 and 2010 with the American team. This season, he will take part in the 12 Hours of Sebring and the 24 Hours of Le Mans at the wheel of HPD's new LMP1 called ARX-01e.

The car has still not taken to the track, and will perform its first laps next week, a few days before the start of the Florida clock tour.

“It will be great to start racing here (in Sebring, editor’s note). The car has enormous potential” explains the former pilot of F1. “I drove it in the simulator and was impressed, but we're waiting to be on the track to be really sure. Obviously we would have preferred to do more testing kilometers before Sebring, but I know the guys at Highcroft Racing did an outstanding job. »

The Australian driver played a key role in the development of the new LMP1 which intends to play a role in the duel between Audi and Peugeot .
“Audi and Peugeot released their cars before everyone else, and will be better prepared than anyone. Our objective is to accelerate the development of the automobile. Sebring is the ideal place to test the car, it is certainly the toughest race in the world for equipment. Having a newly designed LMP1 ready to compete at Sebring is very exciting”
concludes the winner of the 24 2009 Hours of Le Mans.
