Filipe Albuquerque and Ricky Taylor win at Laguna Seca

Starting from pole position, the duo Filipe Albuquerque – Ricky Taylor won on the Laguna Seca circuit for the ninth round of the season. The number 10 Acura DPi completed the 2 hours 40 minutes of racing in 118 laps. The number 1 Racing Cadillac of Renger van der Zende and Kévin Magnussen takes second place at 14.875. The pair Felipe Nasr – Pipo Derani completes the podium at 15.392. 

In the LM P2 category, first place went to the Oreca 07 number 52 of Mikkel Jensen – Ben Keating ahead of the Franco-Canadian crew of the Oreca number 8, Gabriel Aubry and John Farano, by one lap. Third place in this four-man category went to Steven Thomas and Tristan Nunez (Oreca number 11), also one lap behind.

Les Corvette C8.R ont dominé la seule Porsche en lice en GTLM avec le succès de la numéro 4 de Tommy Miller et Nick Tandy devant la numéro 3 d’Antonio Garcia et Jordan Taylor, à un tour. Cooper MacNeil et Matt Campbell ont ainsi du se contenter de la troisième et dernière place de leur catégorie. 

Porsche nevertheless won in GTD with Laurens Vanthoor and Zacharie Robichon with only a 5.512 margin over the #3 Lamborghini Huracan GT1 of Bryan Sellers and Madison Snow. Another Porsche finished on the podium with the number 16 of Trent Hindman and Patrick Long, although it started from pole position in its category.
