At this rate, we would undoubtedly have to push the walls in Weissach to hope one day to welcome all the liveries affixed by the brand to its 911 RSR. After the “Pink Pig” colors, Rothmans, Le Mans 1998, Brumos Racing, voici qu’une Porsche retrouvera les couleurs Coca-Cola pour la finale de l’IMSA at Petit Le Mans (October 12), in the state of Georgia, home of Coca-Cola in Atlanta.
The two 911 RSRs operated by CORE Autosport will feature a livery already seen on a Porsche, it was in the 80s with the 962 of Bob Akin Motor Racing. In 1986, the car notably won the 12 Hours of Sebring with the Hans-Joachim Stuck – Jo Gartner duo.
The crews of Laurens Vanthoor – Earl Bamber and Patrick Pilet – Nick Tandy lead the GTLM category before the Georgian final and will compete for the Drivers' title. Remember that the Porsche 911 RSR won on this same track in 2018, with the crew Patrick Pilet – Frédéric Makowiecki – Nick Tandy.
“Mako” should reunite with Pilet and Tandy next month while Mathieu Jaminet, associated with “Bamthor” at the start of the year at Daytona and Sebring, will be called upon again.
