The Lexus RC F GT3 will finally be in action in 2016. The latest addition to the brand belonging to Toyota will be on track on the other side of the Atlantic next year, via a partnership with the structure of Paul Gentilozzi and the newly created F Performance Racing.
Powered by a V8 of more than 500 hp coupled to a six-speed gearbox, the RC F GT3 weighs 1300 kg. The series in which we will find this newcomer has not been officially confirmed, however Lexus has recorded the arrival of a choice recruit in the person of Scott Pruett, former resident of Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates, and former winner of the Grand-Am or the 24 Hours of Daytona, and the 12 Hours of Sebring.
The program will be limited to a few events in 2016, with the development of the car being the priority for the next season, before a more complete commitment from 2017.
