Long Beach – Qualifying: New pole position for Sébastien Bourdais

Cadillacs fly through the streets of Long Beach. After winning the first two Free Practice sessions, the American brand monopolized the front row of the third race of the season.IMSA. Already pole sitter at Sebring, Sébastien Bourdais signed a second pole position in a row in 1:09.472, synonymous with a new track record.

“This 01 Cadillac was awesome to drive, said the Frenchman. I basically just had to touch the potential of the car and that allowed me to get a nice margin on the track. It was a great feeling. It's a testament to the team's ability to give us really fast cars. »

Alex Lynn gave the Chip Ganassi Racing Cadillacs a front row finish by placing the No. 02 in second position in qualifying. As in each Free Practice session, you have to go down to third place in the standings to find the first Acura, the No. 60 of Meyer Shank Racing with Oliver Jarvis and Tom Blomqvist.

On the GT side, Jordan Taylor gave Corvette pole position in the GTD PRO category in 1:18.048. Madison Snow set the best time in the Paul Miller Racing BMW M4 in 1:18.487 in the GTD class.
