Pipo Derani and Cadillac in pole position for the 12 Hours of Sebring

Cadillac scored a double during qualifying for the 12 Hours of Sebring, the second round of the season in IMSA. Pipo Derani was the fastest at the wheel of the No. 31 from Whelen Engineering ahead of Frenchman Sébastien Bourdais sur la n°01 de Cadillac Racing. Matt Campbell a mis la Porsche 963 n°7 dans le mur au virage 1, provoquant un drapeau rouge à quatre minutes de la fin de la séance. Une neutralisation qui a mis un terme prématuré à cette session qualificative.

After losing pole position to Sarah Bovy in the LMGTE Am category, 1000 Miles of Sebring the day before, Ben Keating won the LM P2 for the second race of the Super-Sebring. The Texan beat Frenchman François Heriau by 0.120 seconds. Glenn van Berlo was the fastest in LM P3 in a Ligier JS P320.

On the GT side, it was Antonio Garcia who set the fastest lap in 1'59"315. The Corvette driver got the better of Jack Hawksworth and Daniel Juncadella. Acura will start from pole position in the GTD with the No. 93 driven by Kyle Marcelli.
