Rebellion Racing reduces its ALMS program

The ALMS will see its interest diminish in the premier category which is experiencing its last year of existence before the merger of the discipline with Grand-Am. While Muscle Milk Pickett Racing put up a good fight against the Swiss team, the latter chose to lighten its program across the Atlantic where it is represented this season by Neel Jani, Nick Heidfeld and Nicolas Cheers. The Lola B12/60 Coupe-Toyota should in fact only compete in two or three more events.

Rebellion Racing made this choice to focus on the development of its future LMP1, the Rebellion R-One revealed this morning which will be designed by Oreca. The Swiss team nevertheless intends to be at the start of the Road America event held on August 11 and to defend its victory acquired last year at Petit Le Mans which will close the season on October 19. The Lola B12/60 could also be there in Austin on September 21 since it will have to travel there for the round of the WEC carried out the same weekend.
