USC – DeltaWing Racing welcomes Memo Rojas

The love story between Memo Rojas and Chip Ganassi Racing had not been extended at the start of this 2015 season. The Mexican, 33 years old, multiple winner of the Grand-Am with the American team, and several times winner of the 24 Hours of Daytona, will finally bounce back behind the wheel of the DeltaWing prototype in the United Sportscar Championship. The team, which also sees the reinforcement of new sponsors such as Claro or TracFone (brands of the America Movil group), will field a crew composed of Rojas, but also the British Katherine Legge and Andy Meyrick, and Colombian Gabby Chavez, 2014 Indy Lights champion (second division of IndyCar Series), the last two mentioned, being entered in the four endurance races.

“I am very excited to join DeltaWing, for many reasons, explains Memo Rojas. Tim (Keene, Team Manager) and I have achieved so much success together; It was a good time at Ganassi and I expect the same here. We are determined to win and Mr. Panoz wants to do the same. I met him when I tested the front engine car and now I can drive one of his cars for a whole season! I was used to driving a Daytona Prototype, and this challenge of driving such a unique car is very exciting.t. »

The quartet will be aligned from 24 Hours of Daytona, January 24-25, for the opening round of USC 2015.
