USC – Fisichella and Kaffer return with Risi Competizione

While the Roar Before the 24, official testing session for the 24 Hours of Daytona (January 24-25) will start today on the Florida track, the stable Risi Competition has confirmed its duo for the 2015 season of United Sportscar Championship. Italian Giancarlo Fisichella, 41 years old, and German Pierre Kaffer 38 years old, will be behind the wheel of the Ferrari 458 Italia n°62 entered in the GTLM category. “Even though we didn't have the success or luck last year, the Pierre Kaffer – Giancarlo Fisichella pair fit well for our team, indicated Giuseppe Risi, team owner. We wanted to come back this season for another attempt at the GTLM championship. The team is working hard to bring the best car for the battle in the category. We have had great success with Ferrari over the years and we would like to extend that streak in 2015.”

The Kaffer-Fisichella duo won two rounds last year in USC in GTLM, at Road America, Wisconsin and Virginia International Raceway. For the 24 Hours of Daytona, they will be joined by the Monegasque Olivier Beretta and the Italian Davide rigon. The latter, accompanied by Pierre Kaffer, will be on track for the Roar Before the 24.
